This single chamber with an opening to the north occupies the area between the portico and open part of the Agora and in part may date back to the archaic period as it is thought that the current remains are actually built on the site of a previous building. Many figurines dating to the 6th century BC were found underneath the southernmost part of the building where the bedrock floor originally sloped away, but it is believed this had been levelled off by the Dorian period.
